What Do I Need To Bring Glamping Post-Covid-19?

What do I need to bring glamping post-covid-19? We’ve been getting this question a lot lately. And not surprising! The world has changed. And so has our glampsite. We have added private bathrooms for each accommodation, as well as picnic benches, so you can eat your meals while socially distancing. We’re also providing a chimnea (outdoor stove) so you can get the campfire experience & toast marshmallows with complete peace of mind.

Can I BBQ onsite?

Yes. Gas BBQs are provided for guest use. Gas is provided.

Is The Glamp House Open?
Yes. The Glamp House is open for socially distanced use. The Glamp House kitchen will remain open for shared use, and offers a shared fridge & fridge/freezer, kettles, toaster, microwave and gas (Meadow) or Electric (Mountain) hobs for guests to use. It is well equipped with crockery, cutlery and glassware, as well as pots and pans for cooking.
Is the Campfire Open?

Yes, the campfire area is open for socially distanced use if you wish. We are also providing individual chimneas (outdoor stoves) for each accommodation if you prefer to use them. All wood, kindling, firelighters & matches are provided.

Is bed linen provided? Should I bring my own?

All bed linen is provided & our linen is laundered at a high temperature for your safety, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Please let us know in advance if you do not require bed linen.

Are extra blankets & cushions provided?

No. We usually would provide these, but post-covid-19, we have had to remove additional soft furnishings to protect our guests..

Do I need wellies?

Do bring a pair. You won’t need them on the glampsite as we have dry gravel paths around the site, but they’re very handy for walks in the wood, exploring the bog, and the beautiful Slieve Bloom Mountains.

Do I need a torch?

The glampsite is lit with low level lighting, and each accommodation has bedside lamps inside, but a torch is always handy.

Anything else?

We recommend that you bring a pack of marshmallows & some skewers for toasting marshmallows & making smores. Whether you use the campfire or your private chimnea to do it, it’s always a highlight of any glamping trip.

We hope this answers your questions! And we hope you enjoy your glamping trip.  Goodness knows you deserve it after all those long days of lockdown!
