Q: Are you open all year round?

A: Our season runs from 1st April to 31st October.  Our Bell tents are available from 1st April to 30th September.

Q: Can I social distance while I glamp with you?

A: Yes. We now provide private bathrooms for each unit, a picnic table, BBQ and cooking kit for al fresco dining and meal prep, and a chimnea (outdoor stove) for toasting marshmallows – so you’ll enjoy the glamping experience but can always stay socially distanced if you wish to.

Q: What does the cooking kit include?

A: The cooking kit is quite basic but has the essentials. Including:
Melamine plates, mugs & bowls & cutlery, & plastic beakers for kids.
Chopping board
Bbq tongs
Travel kettle

Q: Is there a BBQ?

A: For 2020, each accommodation has it’s own gas BBQ with a side burner for cooking pasta/rice, etc. Gas is provided. (There are also gas hobs in The Glamp House).

Q: Is there a fridge?

A: There are fridges in The Glamp House for shared use.  We can provide a coolbox for private use if you wish. Please bring your own cooler blocks for the cool box.

Q: Is The Glamp House open?

A: Yes, The Glamp House is still open for shared use. Please be mindful of social distancing & considerate towards other glampers. There are also a few extra shared items in the Glamp House, like a bread knife, tin opener, frying pan and toaster. There are also fridges & gas hobs here for guests to use.

Q: Do we need to bring sleeping bags?

A: No. Cosy duvets, pillows, fresh linen & extra blankets are provided. You are welcome to bring your own bedding if you prefer, but please let us know if you do not require bed linen.

Q: Do we need to bring towels?

A: Yes.  Please bring your own towels for using showers & baths.

Q: Are there bathroom facilities?

A: There certainly are! We pride ourselves on offering hotel-style bathrooms & luxurious loos.  Well, it is supposed to be ‘glam’ after all.

Q: Are the bathrooms inside the accommodation?

A: No. There are three bathrooms onsite, located close to your accommodation, but separate from it.

Q: Is there electricity?

A: Yes. All accommodation (tents included) has low voltage electricity, with two electric lamps and two spare sockets in each unit. The sockets are suitable for charging mobile phones, etc. There is also electricity in The Glamp House kitchen/dining area.

Q: Is breakfast included?

A: No. All accommodation is self-catering. Our quirky Glamp House offers a well-equipped communal kitchen. For the 2020 season, we will also be providing private BBQ facilities for each accommodation.

*Please note we do not have a conventional oven.

Q: Can I get food delivered?

A: Yes. There are a number of local takeaways that will deliver out to the glampsite for your convenience.

Q: Can I bring my pet?

A: No. Sorry! We have a no pets policy.

Q: What time is check in?

A: Check in is between 4pm and 8.00pm. Please let us know if you plan to arrive later and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Q: What time is check out?

A: Check out is 10am.

Q: Why do Adult Groups have to book out the whole glampsite?

A: This is because we get a lot of family guests here – generally looking for a quiet, relaxing place to chill out and enjoy a holiday with their children. We do welcome adult groups, but they MUST book out the site so as not to disturb our family guests.

Q: Will there be a noisy hen party in progress when I come with my family?

A: No. We do not mix adult groups with family guests. Adult groups MUST book out the whole glampsite.

Q: Do you have WiFi

A: No. The more beautiful the countryside, the less reliable the WiFi! But we do have pretty good 4G coverage on the glampsite.  Many find it a nice change to get off the screens for a little while…

Q: What is there for kids to do on the glampsite?

A: Most kids love the adventure of sleeping in our quirky accommodation, sitting around the campfire, hearing stories & toasting marshmallows.  There’s loads of safe green space to explore, (including Cullenagh Woods, a short walk from site), as well as a hand-built wooden playhouse. We usually offer a selection of toys, games & a sandpit, but we have had to remove these in line with Covid-19 recommendations for the 2020 season.

Q: What is there to do nearby?

A: Laois & the surrounding area offers loads of fabulous places to visit. And many, such as The Rock of Dunamase and Emo Court, are free to enter.  See our Activities page for some suggestions, or visit www.laoistourism.ie for more options.

Q: Do you recycle?

A: Yes. We recycle the vast majority of waste on the glampsite. Please use the recycling bins provided & help us protect our planet for future glampers.

Q: Is there anything I need to bring?

A: Do bring your own towels, food & drink.  Other things that might be nice include a torch, (though there is low level lighting on the glampsite), a guitar for strumming, marshmallows for toasting, champagne for quaffing, your camera for capturing those memories…
