Durrow Scarecrow Festival

This week-long festival happens in the run up to the August Bank Holiday Weekend. For the duration, the town is over-run with straw sculptures of every kind imaginable – from synchronised swimming scarecrows in the river to a ‘life-sized’ straw-stuffed diplodocus dinosaur taking up most of the town square.

You can follow the scarecrow trail around the town, or enjoy the excitement of the Scarecrow Village, which features various events & activities, bouncy castles, face painting, & craft workshops for kids, a range of music & live entertainment, and a market selling local crafts & produce.

Well worth checking out if you’re here during that week!
